Well he fired bolton but still, there were red flags for sure right up to the end. Like I said before it was always a gamble. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

I never thought Trump was the non interventionist that people thought he was and hated the Bolton hire. He still did his sabre rattling and air strikes. That said Trump was still better than the uniparty foreign policy we saw from the Dubya-Obummer era. We saw nothing close to the Iraq or Libya debacles.

Until now, that is. Guy turned into John McCains wet dream.

Pretty much this. I get his supporters and former supporters want to dress up Trump's first term, and his second term up until this war.


But both were garbage. Trump's first term has a picture with Mueller above it, and his historic mismanagement of Covid; overseeing the worst inflation crisis we have seen in forever.


Before this war I can't name one thing he's done that anybody would consider impressive. He cut taxes again, like a good conventional republican, applied tariffs recklessly and unconstitutionally, didn't come close to ending the war in Ukraine (ended up backing it), and mismanaged deportations attempts with an overpaid, untrained federal militia force that has no idea what they're doing.


He was flirting with war months into this term, which anybody with a functioning braincell knew was going to lead where we are now. And let's not forget him being implicit with Epstein, and hiding the files to save his life.

Filling up the Supreme Court is just about his only real legacy. The tariffs will be gone in 2029 and even his own right-wing SCOTUS had to acknowledge the limitations.


Republicans suddenly being so insistent on the Executive Branch holding unitary authority in the federal government won’t be forgotten when the GOP goes back to the “Muh Small Guvermint and State’s Rights” propaganda. Hell, they still want the federal government to tell the states how to run their elections. 😂
