Will you go see Zendaya's new flick "The Drama"
This movie is coming out on Friday. It's a dark comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. It has 84% on RT after 54 reviews. The movie has drawn some controversy because of some sort of dark twist. Reviews say the movie has the vibe of a Woody Allen flick.
The plot is that Zendaya gets engaged to Pattinson. She reveals some kind of secret. Then her secret causes an unhinged rift in their relationship. Reviews say that the acting is good.

I won’t see it it theaters but I’d watch it if it can make it to streaming with the twist spoiled.
I like dark comedies so I’d give it a shot

I don't go to theaters any more unless it looks like a great movie or lots of special effects warrant it. Most movies I just wait until they hit streaming. This doesn't really interest me at all I'll probably forget it exists in a month.

NO SPOILERS
.
.
.
.
I went to see “The Drama” on 04/09/2026. I’m not a big fan of either Zendaya or Pattinson, but I was bored in the office. Thus, I took a plunge on this one. Really, it’s alright.
The crux of the movie centers on a certain revelation that comes out when they play a game of “What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done” … I won’t reveal the revelation because it might spoil … But basically, Zendaya reveals that she thought about doing something bad. Thereafter, Pattinson begins to view her differently, and their relationship becomes strained
I have a few issues. The first one is that the movie contrives the friend’s reaction to Zendaya’s revelation. It just so happens that the revelation personally hits home for their friend, causing her to be extra mad. It was too coincidental.
The other issue is that I didn’t see the big deal; I felt that Pattinson and the two friends were overreacting. It would be something if Zendaya actually did it. But I feel that merely thinking about doing something bad (and even going pretty far in planning it) doesn’t warrant the reaction depicted on-screen. It was also an incident from her distant past, and she had changed since then
Perhaps it’s just my individual reaction, though ... In full disclosure, I work in criminal defense. Compared to most people, I may be more tolerant of people who committed bad deeds or thought about committing bad deeds. Basically, I couldn’t relate to Pattinson’s behavior in this movie
But all of that said – I still give the movie points for delivering a topic that’s worth consideration. Someone could certainly debate my notion that it’s not so bad to merely think about doing something bad …
The ending is good, offering the viewer a chance to interpret and debate about what lies ahead. Visually, it’s a good closing image.
Throughout the movie, Zendaya and Pattinson offer some good acting. My favorite scene is the photoshoot. Their facial expressions are so meaningful and evocative. The montage that occurs during the photoshoot is great.
There are well-done dark comedy moments. I believe I chuckled at the situation involving the co-worker’s husband at the wedding.
Pattinson gets held back by a blandly-written character. His character works in some kind of art museum. He’s also British for some reason. Even his character’s appearance can bring yawns … The true highlight in this movie is actually Zendaya. She gets more juicy material to work with, as her character has the bombshell revelation. She looks pretty in many scenes, like at the wedding.
Alana Haim plays the friend who gets super mad at Zendaya’s revelation. I really wish they had cast someone else. Haim plays an important part. Her exchanges with Zendaya should’ve been fireworks … I think of how much harder the movie might’ve hit if they had cast someone like (example) Amanda Seyfried instead of Alana Haim
Another problem is that I didn’t like the flashbacks too much. They put a younger actress to play young Zendaya, and the resemblance isn’t too convincing. And I just feel that the flashbacks were too explanatory and heavy-handed. I think they could’ve conveyed the gist of the flashbacks in a more subtle, condensed way.
7.0/10.

I like the cut of her jib, but I don't care about her movies.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I like her acting skills. She seems like a groovy chick. I hope she gets nekkid on the internet soon, even with a-cups.
