I just realized I haven't been lifting 6 days a week like I thought

I switched to 3 days on, then 1 day off thinking it would be 6 days a week. But then I realized the following week would start with a rest day. Thus I'm only lifting 5.5 times a week. Fuck!

Can’t do chit cap . I fell off a ladder on to the concrete last December. My foot swelled up and I said fk it , although it’s difficult AF to walk very far the pain is not super sharp so I never got it checked out .
It’s still fked over 3 months later so I think I may have some bad news .

My knee is fking with me too . This is the bruising on the inside of the knee during the same incident . Fapping is all I have left and it’s actually aggravating my tendonitis to . Hard going on no fap though srs

That's still 6 days every week. You just need to count them up. Here I'll do it for you

Week 1 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 3 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Week 4 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Week 5 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 6 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

No matter how you look at it it's still 6 days every week

Hope this helps
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I used to think once a week per muscle group was the proper way to work out , but last year I made much faster muscle gains doing the same muscle group once every four days .
I just fked up benching heavy with a bar again . If I could go back in time I’d just use dumbbells for bench pressing , and maybe 3 times a year bench heavy with a bar to see where my PR is

I’ll have stretches where I’ll lift 2 weeks straight.

I also just got done with a stretch of 8 straight days going twice each day to lift in the morning and cardio/abs in the afternoon.

I honestly feel great when I hit these long runs of never taking time off. It always falls off when something like work or something else gets in the way and I’m frustrated by it

I’m on trt though

Yeah man, I'm on an extended cruise and thought that test would fix my recovery - but when I cut right back the progress took off

I don't lift more than 3-4 times a week because I need the recovery time otherwise I'll stall or regress on my main lifts. My routine is pretty much push (bench focused), pull (back with some biceps), upper (bench focused with back accessories) and then an optional easy legs and core day.

People will look at my routine, log book or whatever and think it's a very narrow focus. They don't seem to understand that pretty much all naturals that want to maximise their potential on a compound lift eventually need to take a core + satellite approach (i.e. focus on the primary lift and strategically use accessory movements to help drive it up) to their training. If you try to go hard on several different lifts you'll stall because the fatigue will build up too much too quickly if you're actually strong.

I did a more well-rounded routine in my earlier years of lifting but narrowing the focus was necessary as I progressed. You can always do random exercises pretty much whenever. But hitting a high bench mark of performance has a limited window so once you commit you have to go after it and give yourself a proper shot at it. If isn't meant to be then so be it but at least you tried and ended up at a much higher point than you would have had you not tried in the first place.

So to break it down for you:

1) We start Chest, Shoulders, Tris on Monday, the 9th (you with me?)

2) We then take ONE day off, hmm let's call it Tuesday, the 10th

3) We train Back, Bis on Wednesday, the 11th (Day 3 if you're still with me)

4) We take off Thursday, the 12th (Day 4)

5) We train legs on Friday, the 13th (SCARY!)

6) We take off Saturday, the 14th (Day 6 in case I lost you one line up)

7) We train Chest, Shoulders, Tris again on Sunday, the 15th (Day 7)^There, I call a work week Sun-Sat, you call it Mon-Sun, great I don't care.

8) We take off Monday, the 16th (Day 8)

9) We train back, bis on Tuesday, the 17th (Day 9)

10) We take off Wednesday, the 18th (Day 10)

11) We train legs on Thursday, the 19th (Day 11)

12) We take off on Friday, the 20th (Day 12)....OHHH getting closer to 2 weeks, 14 days, I'm excited!!!!!!

13) We train Chest, Shoulders, Tris on Saturday, the 21st (Day 13)

14) FINALLY, we take off on Sunday, the 22nd (Day 14)

I am adding them up, yep I get 7.

I have spent like an hour, really trying to get this through that thick, dense, skull....I have to admit, in 10 yrs posting 15,000 posts on car forums, bike forums, fitness forums, I have NEVER met someone more fuking dumb. I will link this thread all over the planet if you don't admit defeat. It will happen. You just cannot be that dumb, I refuse to believe it!

I've always done 5 days a week, just been too bored and restless lately on rest days. My body has adapted better than I thought, don't feel any different srs. Also home gym crew so it's not like I gotta commute to the gym or anything

I started hitting chest 3 times a week (sometimes 2 times depending) since my chest has always been a weak point for me. But for the most part I've always been 1 muscle group a week crew. Got some jammer arms a few months ago and set up a semi-permanent chest press setup on the wall with some extra uprights I had

I shoot for 6 days a week but 2-3 of those are cardio days (heavy long rucks, or sprints now that it’s spring)

I’m thinking when you’re a senior citizen that one muscle group a week may be more beneficial because of healing time , but I was doing well with my new program
