In their 10 point plan it states either reparations or passage fee. The US is obviously not doing reparations, so passage fee it is. They have already been charging daily since they dreamed it up a 2 weeks ago. Oman is in on it and they are one of the few intermediaries.

Lol, they can ask for whatever they want as the starting position in a negotiation. However you'd need to be naive as fuck to think the US will agree to them charging a $2M fee for passage on a waterway they don't control under the threat of committing terrorist attacks on any boat going through.

This isn't the Panama Canal or the Suez Canal where they're wholly owned by single countries who can control all traffic. The Straight of Hormuz is an international waterway. What they're saying is they will commit a terrorist attack on anybody who doesn't pay their fee.
