Trump approved more H-2B visas for foreign workers





In early 2026, the Trump administration announced the release of roughly 65,000 additional H-2B visas through September 30, nearly doubling the annual cap of 66,000.

This decision followed advocacy from business groups and a fundraiser held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, organized by the Seasonal Employment Alliance’s PAC

Critics, including watchdog group CREW, noted that Trump’s own resorts have sought foreign workers under the H-2B program
