If you wanna know what they took from you, watch old Elvis movies

watching a movie called 'Speedway' right now. all the movies are pretty similar but you can just sense the affordability and safety. Any of the crimes were pretty much extremely unlikely (random crimes of violence) or low-stakes (no carjackings I presume unless perp just robbed a bank). Plus everyone seems like their first job was at Chic fil A (they're polite).

Hawaii used to be a solid middle-class vacation destination, now its basically only upper-class or higher. Blue Hawaii is actually a decent movie, Elvis does a lovely version of "love me tender" in the movie.

Actually older movies esp give you sense of time and place. The generalities you can make about life by viewing behavior and background such as cars, services, etc are statistically likely to be correct assumptions.

Were women throwing themselves at every guy? Unlikely. At Elvis....for certain.

Also politically pre Israel money and lobbying into Congress. Or at least effects still not widely seen ex immigration .
