Is the Nissan Frontier the most slept-on mid-size truck?

It comes with a v6 standard and has none of the reliability issues of the other Nissan lineup. All for only $32,000 MSRP and you can probably get a big discount on that too.

(inb4 Honda Ridgeline)

For some reason it never gets mentioned in the same breath as other trucks despite having really nice specs, reliability, and being decently well-appointed at a low price.

I had a Nissan xterra for years. Awesome suv. Was basically a frontier but suv.

I agree with OP. I have one but it's basically brand new with 6k miles right now. I'll let you know in 10 years how it holds up

I have been happy with mine since 2019.

Only thing that pisses me off is sometimes the seat belt adjuster vibrates and makes noise right next to my ear while im driving

I work in a Nissan dealer service department. We hardly ever see any problems with them. The older one was ugly and dated but reliable AF.

That 3.8L is solid AF, not at all related to the 3.8 that is in the GTR but more like the Maxima's. They don't have any plans to put a turbo 4 cylinder in them. Transmission is a 9 speed I think we share with Toyota that we also used to put in the now discontinued Titan. Nothing seems to go wrong with them unless people start adding their own electronics. For some reason, the one's with electrical issues usually have where people are adding lights and crap to the truck. I'd say it beats the Tacoma but don't tell the fanboys that.

That's a car with a bed. It doesn't have full frame, just unibody. Frontier is a truck.

Also there is a stereotype of guys that drive Ridgelines.

I’ve always been a fan of American trucks but I’m gonna have to side with OP here the frontier is pretty slept on and I’ve also heard that Nissan makes some of the most reliable vehicles nowadays because they don’t have as much built to fail stuff as more expensive American trucks do. If I were to buy a brand new vehicle which I’ve never done before and probably never will I’d probably get a frontier.
