Interesting perspective on Workcels
i was just telling my friend a story the other day about if you ever go to Estate-Sales its completely wild because every fucking person who goes to buy knick-knack from some dead-guy's house is like over 70yo. in fact, that isn't the weirdest part. They literally scurry in like rats, the men and their old-bag wives to grab whatever they think they can I guess resell or put on their own mantle. these fucking geezers literally will elbow you and you'll see people holding stuff they've grabbed like they are escaping from a fire in their home.
My friend was like "so its basically a garage-sale?" and I'm like NOPE ...at a garage sale everything is other people mostly junk they want to get rid of willingly. at an estate-sale its all like walking into some dead-guys house with (overpriced usually) price tags on stuff that hasn't already by pilfered and cleaned out by his family. You really see that most people just have a life where they are surrounded by junk that will end up in Goodwill.
Sure the stories of someone finding an old Picasso are always fun to read but for the most part its just junk.
BTW: the tie between the above and below for the lowIQ is that most of your stuff is valuable to you because you inherently associate it with your labor whereas if you got it for free you might not value it. so much stuff people work so hard for is just junk that will get some random-price tag at their own estate sale someday.
Anyways....

I’ve been in the workforce for 12 years and my biggest issue is that the standard 40 hours per week work week is rooted more in tradition than necessity …. I could be wrong here but in my experience most roles don’t actually require 40 hours of focused and productive work
Also another thing - Parkinson’s law … work expands to fill time available for its completion … so you have this scenario where everyone is just half assing it all week, they have 40 hours to compete their shit so will take the entire 40 hours when really maybe the work only requires 10 or 20 hours
I work from home right now as an individual contributor so none of this applies to me and it’s amazing …I can’t imagine going into an office again
