Why is the MICHAEL JACKSON Biopic bashed by critics but praised by fans?

In Rottentomatoes - 38% critics, 97% fans.

Anyone watched it? Is it that bad or that good or mid?

This. I like Michael Jackson but his hardcore fans are cult-like.

Haven’t seen the movie so maybe I’m dead wrong but the previews didn’t look that good.

Biopics will almost always have high audience ratings based on what someone already stated here. Nobody gives a shit about some boring biography unless they're a fan of that person, so those are the people rating it. Critics are forced to watch it to give their opinion so they may or may not be a fan

I havent seen the movie

its possible its a decent movie / biopic

but if people see the movie they may start to google Michael more and see his statements on the jews

It says it 240 million global opening weekend which is pretty crazy.

I never really cared about MJ, I’m sure it’s a bad movie but fun if you’re a fan.

Because RT and other Critic platforms are run by people trying to push an agenda. No way would I consider their ratings when seeing a movie.
