Goddamn, I just paid $70 to fill up my car.

Earlier this year it was like $35. Wild how much the gas pricing went up in the last couple weeks. Luckily, I'm only filling up like every 2.5 weeks so it's not a big deal, but if I were driving 100 miles per day or something this would kinda suck.

Yeah, the roads have been fucking packed lately. Definitely not impacting demand at all.

Nah, I really don't see it going any higher in the US. However, I could see it going a lot higher in Europe.

The US isn't impacted in the same way as other places. I'd imagine this is just a temporary increase, and it will be back to $3.50 per gallon within a month.

There's a clear temporary cause here though. People will genuinely begin driving less if it stays here for more than a month.

No chance. Permanent structural changes due to this war in Iran. Americans will get used to a new normal, like usual. And going back pre war, jt would be 2.89, not 3.50

I rarely even notice. But $70 to fill up a regular car just surprised me a bit.

If it gets this high, I'll just start riding my bike everywhere. Probably should be doing this anyways.

Don’t wealthy people care about gas prices going up? Money can be spent quickly.

Filled it last week and gf had it for the week because of how the parking works at my joint; she turned the engine right down to snow mode and had the fucker at 19.3mpg - I topped the tank off Monday, reset the system and tried to get it up to 10mpg lulz

It's mind blowing. I figured since gas basically doubled in 3 weeks, there would be less people just driving around. Don't like 80% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck? What's going on?
