If it’s a small ceremony or super formal then it’s ok

People have big weddings when they were fresh out of college or in their twenties, maybe early 30s. I feel like the older people get, the more intimate weddings get, even if they are loaded. Granted, there are definitely exceptions.

I find them unnecessary. 90% of people would be better served getting married at the courthouse and throwing a small party afterwards for close family/friends. Instead, modern sloots become infatuated with “their special day” and end up convincing their man that it’s wise to burn tens of thousands of dollars in a single afternoon. Wasteful.

Imagine how much further ahead couples would be if the money that would be spent on an extravagant wedding went towards the down payment on a house or into a combined investment account.

This is so true. If I got married right out of college I legit would have like 30-40 friends I would invite and the girl I was dating at the time the same. Now if I got married, it would just be my mom, brothers, and like 3-4 friends.
