I mean I don't care about the lies about fixing the economy or lowering prices because I knew going in that it was all campaign banter. No one's going to fix the economy or lower prices srs.

Yeah it’s getting horrendous, honestly gas prices this high don’t trigger me that much because I still really don’t spend much on gas at all (price rises over the years for other things had been way worse), but among the gen pop, gas prices tend to trigger them more than anything else for whatever reason, so the GOP is absolutely cooked thanks to this

High gas prices lead to high prices in just about everything else. From groceries to any consumer goods. Trucking companies and logistics industries are hurting badly right now, and it's only going to get worse the closer we get to summer.

The Iran war and the Strait being closed are going to break a lot of industries. Especially because it doesn't seem like this conflict will be resolved anytime soon

Yeah but I’m just talking about your average Joe and the emotional reaction to seeing gas prices rise on the sign of a gas station. Prices rising for everything else will get them upset yes, but gas rising from $3 to $4 a gallon will get them seething more than anything else, from my experience. So it’s a really bad optics issue for Trump and the GOP that will get them destroyed in the midterms
