I've been watching documentaries on North Korea and it's even more fuked up than I could have ever thought. Not just civilians but the hundreds of thousands of innocent people being forced into slave labor........which in many cases is worse than Auschwitz. It is absolutely mind boggling that the citizens have never tried to throw it over. There conditions are so bad it would absolutely be worth it. With that said.....

The premise of the movie would be about the citizens finally saying no more and secretly plan the takeover of the North Korean government. It would be similar to the movie Gladiator in terms of planning to overthrow the govt. Not sure if the story would have the takeover be successful or not. Although I figure it would make a better movie if they do succeed in the end. Also, I feel like a great twist would be at the end where after an entire film of plotting and fighting against the north korean government, it appears like they are about to be defeated, then the US special military forces come in at the end and saves the day. So you have two sets of heroes, the north korean citizens who fought for their freedom, and the US soldiers. Kind of similar in the movie Pearl Harbor where the Chinese soldiers come in at the end to help defeat the Japanese.

If given the budget of hundreds of millions of dollars, this could most certainly be a hit.

Write a script. Would be a good hobby

I'd make it a comedy and have a rotating cast of Korean actors replacing each other to gaslight the viewers into thinking they can't tell Asian people apart
