Why isn't property tax a fixed amount?
When you really think about it this is a law that's kind of bullshit where they are in fact just stealing from homeowners.
The property itself is just a patch of land. I understand a tax to own land in a country but to make that tax variable based on the value of the home on that patch of land is kind of nonsense. Property tax should be a fixed tax based on the sq ft of land you own.
The amount can adjust for inflation and that's it. This is the fair way to tax but governments are corrupt

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

All most working class people do is pay taxes and bills. They have very little left over to get away from living paycheck to paycheck. Two fold reasons they do this. For one, they need you to work dat der 9-5. Second reason is there are so damn many people who are living EBT deposit to EBT deposit to WIC check. They can't cut that off or all hell will break loose but they not only need you to fund this, but also there is a dynamic where you have people consuming and buying product than producing it would cause inflation, they don't want that. So what they do is take from the producers to give to the needy.
I'm bitter because I have to pay it in once payment and it sucks. I see too many people who live off the system and it's mostly their own stupid choices.

I'm part of the house paid off crew, but if I don't pay the property tax, then the government takes my house
So does that make me a rentcel still?
