Maybe it's because I was educated after Black Swan came out but the ideas in there seem pretty damn obvious. That markets are complex reactive systems which can't be perfectly modeled with mathematics and risk emerges where you least expect it.

And the dude is insufferable. He acts like because he was lucky enough to survive the 1987 crash that he must be a genius. If he was really a genius trader he'd still be trading, not writing pop psychology books about what he learned as a trader lol.

If you liked it you'd like Poor Charlie's Almanack which is much denser with ideas, written by the late Charlie Munger.
