Why you should never use Zelle or Cashapp

I've sold stuff online and every single time a black would come to kick the tires so to speak he/she would ask "Do you gotz cashapp/zelle?"....I always was like "No I only have Venmo and paypal."

Finally after so many blacks kept asking I downloaded those apps. Now one of the ways Venmo and Paypal (whatever your experiences may be with using them) have such trust is they guarantee payment. Turns out a way to up your profit margins is have the user solely responsible for his/her accountability aka no customer support to dispute charges.

Of course it turned out that Cashapp and also Zelle if I remember correctly are strictly 'be careful whom you interact payments with as there is no guarantee'. Like in one of them you have 24hrs to have YOUR payment refunded to you I think. So yeah...there was a reason only the black was asking if I had Cashapp or Zelle, so they could charge-back any payment they woulda made to me.

btw: this is 5star advice

CORRECTION: awared by posts below that it wasn't Zelle. My best advice if you are selling stuff is to meet at their bank so cash can be guaranteed and everything is on camera.

Incorrect zelle explicitly states that once you send the money, you can't get it back. If the transaction is in person, they can send you cash or you can receive cash and It's not an issue. What happens is the scammers tell people to send them the cash on zelle before they meet as a down payment or to hold an object. These scams are all over facebook, which I run into all the time

Pretty sure Zelle is tied directly to a real bank account. Cash App is for those who don't have bank accounts.

I love it when they demand a deposit to hold the item before ever meeting. So many people actually fall for it.
