Rate my Friday cocktail /10

Pandan infused Jameson liqueur

Mixed pandan with Jameson for 2 days to infuse. Add lemon juice and clarified with milk.
Once filtered clear, add sugar and citric acid.

To serve, 1.5-2oz liqueur to 3-4 oz soda water.
As always with a big ass clear rock

It’s a plant used in southeastern Asia, can buy it on Amazon or any Asian market. Flavor is mild sweet coconut, vanilla, herbal notes.

Essentially lol. It’s dehydrated pandan leaves left to steep in whisky.

This is beyond my level of sophistication. I'd rather drink 16 beers and piss the bed.

Around 50 k working 30 hours a week in a low cost of living state. Was making 65k when I was working nights but I adopted a dog and don't work as much anymore

65 take home, I don't count my hourly.

I don't have a lot of faith in the clientele where I live. If I'm spending a few minutes making a nice craft cocktail to get stiffed it hurts a lot more compared to getting stiffed on a crown and coke I'm comping. I know I'm making enough to live comfortably here. Probably won't be bartending much longer.

Plus at the casino I have full health insurance, dental etc. and a matching 401k with hundreds of hours of PTO

Most restaurants or bars won't have benefits like that

Fair enough, I was just wondering looking at it from my local angle, where a proper cocktail is 19-25 dollars plus minimum 20% tip so it’s lucrative.
