Maybe something happened? #immigration

H1b and tourist visa people and the like are freaking out. I don't know much about the minutiae but it seems the past policy was once you were in the US you could indefinitely adjust your temporary-status and keep doing so until permanent-residency approved aka path to full-citizenship.

MANY MANY of these people are scammers who really are looking to escape their home country and know once in the US its just a matter of applying until your number comes up.

Kinda boring thread tbh (i'm already bored) but look into it if interested....i went to Reddit and people are losing their shit (obvsly a good sign)

the more i look into it, it seems as though this scam has lasted for decades. people coming over on tourist visa...keep applying for permanent...always being in limbo...until they eventualy get the legality to stay.

the intentions of allowing were obviously pure and kind-hearted but after the immigration system became overwhelmed it lost all its merit.

I know I was being sarcastic with my first post so I will try to be more direct.

The institution works because it gives people the idea they can benefit from it.

If you are not directly benefiting from the institution of the US you are simply being used by it.


Every single mother fucker who participates in it from the president to the soldier, to the immigrant, to the countless administrators, is doing so specifically because they perceive some sort of benefit.

As a citizen, without actively learning how the rules of the institution can benefit you, and actively taking advantage of them, you are simply a tool used to fund it.

You can be mad at people who understand and use the system, but don’t be naive about it. Everyone is doing it for perceived personal gain.

no i understand it. initially it was supposed to be (actually it still is considered h1b that is) extraordinary skill hard to find here. corporations abused the fuck out of it. basically firing most high paying workers and bringing in labor who'll live 10 men in a 2br apt.

some story I was reading was about a guy who saw other h1b paychecks and they were getting paid $30 an hour. before he got layed off for the same position he was paid $105 per hour by the same company. thats whats going on.

Corps were definitely (and jews) exploiting this via the President (maybe they still are tbh).

Theres literally tens of million of people illegally living in America that came on tourist etc visas...and never left. You think this explosion of Indians is from 100K Hib visas? We only have numbers from 2015.

Our border might be secure but our international airports arent.

Interesting tactic. But it would only make a small dent into the migration issue. The vast majority of illegals dont even care to apply for a green card.
