Either it's been returned (but not open box) or they weren't too careful in the warehouse. Complain with pics to customer service and they'll give you $5 credit or something. If you want to go to that much effort for $5 Amazon credit.

When stuff like that happens I hit up amazon support and tell them I'm too busy to drop it off or package it back up for a return and I make them refund me and let me keep the item

Usually works no problem on cheaper stuff, had it work for a 200$ m.2 drive also

I have 2 packs of ballpoint pens where I was sure they were doctored with and they wouldnt send me a return label because it was not worth it and paid me back while letting me keep them. I am not really happy about that because I never wanted doctored ball point pens, but hey I am keeping and using them anyway since they were free
