Any Miscers use ON1 photo editing software ?

I bought it because the price was right and I couldn’t justify paying a monthly subscription for Photo Shop and Light Room .
I never got around to using it , but my friend bought it at the same time and said it’s harder to figure out . Just wondering if any Miscers use it , and find it difficult to navigate.

I've never used it, but there are probably a few good tutorials on YouTube boyo. Follow along, learn as you're going. Like anything it'll be complex at first but second nature after a couple of weeks.

I've had it for some years - also because I don't like the sub model for everything. I don't use the latest version yet though.

It's not that hard or tricky and as mentioned you can usually find some youtube results and guides for an issue if get stuck.

It can also be the easiest thing to use if don't wanna change much. You can just use a functions like brilliance AI that quickly fixes all the basic settings and usually does a good job. Then another denoise function to clean things up and be done with it.

Then when export image - you can change the size (I use the in-% option for ease) to fit forum use. I did the mistake when started that uploaded these big ass files that probably slowed ppls' computers down, lol.

So, you can be done with an ok edit in 2 clicks basically, but there's also much to learn which can do if want in your own time.

Been very happy with it. The latest version recently came out and includes a function to restore old photos so will probably get that one. Just make sure if upgrade that you pick the right option since seem to have a few different ones where the base option lacks some features.

That’s sounding optimistic. I believe there’s an AI removal tool , but I heard it’s not easy to use . I’ll definitely be watching YV tutorials at some point . I intentionally purchased two monitors for that purpose

I think I have the 2024 version so haven't tested the removal tool either, but I wouldn't have much need for it though. One thing that looked cool though in demos was being able to quickly remove powerlines and so on. Always found those annoying if wanted pics of old buildings - just seemed to always be something like that ruining the shot.

Yes easily removing power lines would be great . Sometimes it’s near impossible to get that perfect shot without power lines.
I remember with PS cs6 that cloning was a pita and kind of made things smudgy. Things have certainly improved since

And it's just not fun to manually do so I tend to skip many street/architecture things all together. When in Vienna I tried to get some beautiful old buildings, but there was always this crap in the way. :)

Here's also a neat trick to get rid of the people if a busy place - strong nd filter and long exposure:
