Have you noticed there are no more Standup Comedians left?

What I mean is pure stand up comedians that can tell a story(Chapelle)etc..

Women comedians suck lets be honest(Omg so my vagina and like haha get it so this guy I hooked up with..)

I was doom scrolling(Silly me) instagram and tik tok, and I found out all comedians these days just make fun of the audience, because they have no content of their own.

Podcasts have badly hurt comedy. There's no real reason for comics to get their names out there as much. They just make their pod and advertise their shows. They don't pitch shows or movies anymore. Occasionally, a video might go viral on Tiktok, skyrocketing them, like Derrick Stroup. I like him.

New comics suck nipple dick. I saw one a while back from a dude in his mid-20s, ranting about how dumb teens are now. It was weird.

I think that's the issue with a lot of people who don't like the Joe Rogan crew of comics. Which anyone with a level head can see they are nowhere near the level of 90's and 2000's comedians.

Nah bro, get away from the Rogan effect and crew. There are TONs of young new comedians and not all are Rogan sponsored. He is trying to make Austin a comedy hub but NY is still king of up and comer comics.

I think the main difference is you used you have to bust your ass in the clubs, taking licks and gaining experience. Even good comedians would practice their set until it was polished and then they would tour or release a special.

You can’t really do that anymore. You probably won’t even be let on a stage if you’re not coming with some sort of social media presence/ draw you can Bring to the club. So the up and comers basically have to post content daily to stay relevant, and you can’t really hone your skills cuz it’s all going to get posted online even if you don’t think the joke is ready.
