Do you lose respect for successful people if they’re not muscular?

I was watching a commercial about a guy who started a nut company and is apparently wealthy, but his arms were skinny and he looked like he had never seen the inside of a gym. I immediately lost respect for him because of that.

Do you react this way when you see non-jacked people who are otherwise successful in life?

I don’t have respect for people who are considered “successful” regardless of their body type.

In this society, in order to be “successful”, you have to exploit everyone who isn’t you. Your employees, your customers, your family. Most importantly, you have to value money more than humans. There has to be some desire driving the shitty behavior.

The more “successful”, the less respect I have for them.

Regardless of whether they’re successful or not, does it seem weird when you meet someone who looks like they never lifted?

Depends on what kind of success they have. But in general yes, I have a hard time respecting people who are not making conscious decisions to improve their health. They don’t have to be muscular, but definitely lean and not skinny.

No, but never do business with fat people. Their fatness is a direct reflection of greed. That greed is a best indicator to know they will snake you to benefit themselves. (Super Duper Ded fkn Srs)

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

This even tho i'm walking around like popeye I don't judge the non-lifters 97% of people don't lift and that's their decision who gives AF

It's like judging people for not fishing (which is far more common than lifting) or some other very specific shit

Only if they draw attention to it and think they're special because they're skin and bones, or if they're obviously a bit overweight but think they're in good shape.

Most people i see regularly in the gym seem like complete mouthbreathers and id be shocked if many of them earned 40K/year.

Anybody under 50 who is fat is automatically disrespected regardless of accomplishments

sFirst read this and was like "socialist" but the more I see it, no it's not. It really sucks how honesty isn't rewarded very well. Some people are just crooks, but a lot blur the line in grey areas. Such as sales, you properly qualify the customer and try to match them to the product or service that meets their needs the best and try to get them the value, it may result in you having a good customer, so it might be good for the business in the long run, but people don't want that. Instead you are supposed to try to get all the money out of them you can by convincing them using manipulative techniques.

I've been an automotiove mechanic/tech for the better part of 28 years. I find the root cause and fix the vehicle. One repair for one problem usually. Because of this, I don't work on customer pay vehicles. I work on one's the company has to fix under warranty or internal. I'm paid at a higher rate, but doesn't mean I couldn't make more money selling services. I know guys making a lot more than me even with less skills because they don't give a fuk, they want to make money, rape, pillage, plunder every repair. The best part, most people who don't know think they are much better techs than I am, and will say that I just have the paperwork and that's my position. I must not be able because if I could, that's what I would do, right?

Because of this I question everything, even well respected professions. Is your doctor really running these test, recommending these procedures, and these medicines because he/she knows that's the best treatment plan for you, or is that just going to pay him/her the most? We all know it's probably the insurance company but even then, the plan is motivated by money more than your health.
