So you think your a Big Shot cause you make 100k a year?

100k after taxes is what? 70k or so. After rent, bills, gas and life expenses your left with maybe 10k or so. You will probably have to work till your 80 if you want to retire while people on walfere never had to work a day in their life and live a similar life to you.

Im 32 years old and have never had a job or even applied to a job advertisement. I don’t think I can even make $2000 in my entire lifetime.

Although we have been inflated to hell purchasing power wise, of wage earners its still only 18% of people who crack 6 figures. Median single male income is $61,000 and median household is $83,000.

So if you touch $100,000 as a single man you are a top 10% wage earner in your age bracket, out compete a household by $20,000 and absolutely turbo mog the median income of 61k, almost double it.

If you make 100k+ anywhere outside of the west coast, Boston to DC metropolis and a handful of cities then you are in fact a certified BIG SHOT.

back in 1995 we used to say that $100K was the poverty line. so imagine what it is today. i just did the calculation. $219K.

Says a lot how low the bar is for top 10%er.

I'd still rather make 77K in 2019 than 100K today. When it comes to home buying power, you have half now with the same money.
