In terms of dignity, it’s absolutely better to contribute to society.

In terms of survival, some people are better off just collecting welfare (srs).

In most states you’ll get enough public assistance to meet your basic needs. If someone is half-retarded, schizophrenic or disabled, they’d be fucking themselves over by getting a job because in all likelihood, the only thing they’d qualify for would be near-minimum wage grunt work.

At that point, the government would cut off or greatly reduce their benefits (no more food stamps or section 8) and the measly paychecks (<$400/week after taxes) wouldn’t be enough to live off.

The exception is when these people are supported by family. Jason Genova was living with his grandma in Delray if I remember correctly, so bagging groceries was just to stay busy, it had no true impact on his livelihood.

All welfare should be reduced to communal housing and basic food served from a large cafeteria. Srs. Abled bodied people on this sort of welfare should be cleaning the streets/scrubbing graffiti/maintaining hiking trails three days a week to cover it.

Get a job, or sleep in a bunk with 20 other kunts in the room and eat cabbage soup. We won't let you starve, but you'll only have the very basics.
