Been wondering for a while. I have 1 bitcoin but it doesn't seem to have much more upside potential.

I have never heard an explanation that actually makes sense and describes what a bitcoin or other cryptocurrency actually is.

They feel they are valuable because there are finite numbers of them vs fiat currency which produces more and more money, deflating its worth.

But there is a problem.

There might be a finite amount of Bitcoins, but there is essentially an infinite number of different crypto currencies. hence why most of them are worthless and called shit coins.

Bitcoins only real claim to worth is that it was the first one but it doesnt have any intrinsic value

I think some governments have started putting money in bitcoin which might fuk them over if it tanks.
