there is no reason to think the future will look like that.

AI will either make life really, really good, like beyond what we can imagine right now, or it will kill us all. There isn't a middle ground, and we will probably see whatever the outcome is in the next 40 years, max, maybe as little as 10ish.


if we live through this singularity, it might basically provide most humans with basic needs for free, making work mostly optional, giving you time back in the day to go explore, go see nature, see friends, all that. it might make you far healthier, live longer, look and feel better, more relaxed, all of that.
