What a joke Layne Norton has become on Bench Press...
I really tried my best to be nice to him.. But he was bullied so bad in high school and college that he took my compliments as some form of bullying...
He sucks at bench press.. What a joke.
Sets a new PR of 741 on deadlifts which beats his old PR of 727... Yet can't even increase his bench past 360... Still stuck at that 360 mark. Yeah I understand he has a paused max of 393.. Congrats on that but like get to the body weight to be capable of doing that again... It's like stop doing that 205 twink weight crap.. Especially at 44 years old.. It's just dumb...
That's pathetic.. I mean the least you would think he could do with that type of deadlift would be 460...
But no Layne thinks he knows it all and goes on Instagram talking crap on others for eating wrong.. Yet never actually posts what he eats..
Because what Layne eats is apparently top secret info...
I hate people like that.. That's straight up paranoid schizo right there..
He thinks that if he gives away his diet info then someone will break his stupid Unofficial WRs or something..

I give away the best programming for the 400 at all times because i'm not dumb.. I want people to try to break my WR in the 400 at over 215 LBS..

A 360 lb bench press at 205 lb body weight is very solid assuming that he's lifetime natural, especially at 44. His deadlift is disproportionately high based on your numbers but I think he pulls sumo so it doesn't count anyway.

He definitely has a strong back.. Probably didn't do 22 years of distance running like I did 1993 till 2015 though so his back is pretty much normal.. I can't grow my upper back due to distance running...

Here's his so called 585 for 15 on a Star Trac hack machine... I just did 545 for 1 on this machine easily.... So i'm calling his 585 for 15 a 485 for 15 due to using knee wraps... 485 for 15 equates to around 595 for 1 on this machine.....Without the knee wraps...
So equivalent of wow Layne I'm like 50 LBS off of your max on this machine.. And gaining quick.. Yeah i'm heavier.. So that's why i'll give him the advantage on squats.... .
I know for a fact he couldn't do a 465 for 1 smith machine bench press like I did in 2024 at 213 LBS body weight... So nowhere near me in bench....

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I tried to help him and give him top secret info on what to do for bench such as band isolation with a rubber band tied to a pole and do half reps then full reps..... And do 1 arm at a time and never go above 2 reps for the most part...
But I got blocked for it..... He's just retardded.. He'll never have a good bench press because he just sucks at it.......And he's still not even old..
