Kind of silly seeing people in their 50's celebrate things like "30 years of sobriety."
It's like dude, we get it, you got drunk like twice in your 20's, decided no more, and then you wear it like a badge of honor every year and celebrate it every year
I guy I know who is 55 was celebrating 30 years of sobriety online. I get celebrating being sober after 30 years of being an alcoholic. But celebrating 30 years of sobriety like it's some badge of honor. It's like bro, you've been sober for 30 years now.....it can't be thaaaaaat hard.
I figure once I hit the 10 year mark of no alcohol I am going to refrain from talking about it or my sobriety in general. It's like it hit a statute of limitations. I'm on year 8.
