I went out of my way to help out some bitch at work and she never responded

We started the job around the same time at the same level on the same team so there has been some feelings of competition and sizing each other up

She has been cold towards me since the day I started and I've seen her trying to beat me in front of the team so she can appear better

I try to just focus on my job and don't interact with her much. But during a recent team lunch, she asked me about some recommendations in the city and I said let me look into it (that was my fault - I should've just said I'm not sure so I wouldn't need to follow back up with anything). I wanted to be a man of my word and not ignore her, so I emailed her the recs and tried to be as polite as possible. And the bitch never even replied to me. Ideally we could just be supportive to each other and be on good terms but it has been feeling like she has something against me since day 1. Thoughts/feedback?

I was hoping we can break the ice a bit and be on better terms with each other
