how did they eventually catch it.
You being a thorn in their side until one doc FINALLY tested, or what brought about the diag. years later?

I understand it is hard to diagnose, how did they finally determine that’s what it was?
What treatment is there these days?

Back positive. 6-8 weeks later after antibiotics I could walk again and function. But there was perm damage done to my joints because it went on so long

I had it back in 1991. Fortunately I had the classic bullseye rash and had a class about it 2 years before at Ft. Monmouth so I knew what it probably was. I was quite popular at the clinic. They brought all the med students in to look at it. They literally treated me out of a book, and doubled the recommended dosage and length.

My uncle had Lyme disease about 10 years ago. First sign was he collapsed at the grocery store. At first they thought it was heart failure. Took about 6 months to get a diagnosis too. Scary shit mane.

Get yourself checked. Maybe lyme disease is what's making you retarded.

Is Lyme permanent? I didn’t think there was a cure. No clue though
a active lyme infection vs the post infection/damage it done is night and day. u will know somethin is srsly fucked if ur actively infected

Had a whole class on it at Ft. Monmouth and never saw a single tick there. Meanwhile at Ft. Chaffee it was never mentioned but I had multiple ticks on me every day I was in the field.
