how did they eventually catch it.

You being a thorn in their side until one doc FINALLY tested, or what brought about the diag. years later?

I understand it is hard to diagnose, how did they finally determine that’s what it was?

What treatment is there these days?

They tested once by blood test well into all my pain journey and somehow it came back negative. Months later after I couldn’t walk anymore I said try testing me again mfers and it came
Back positive. 6-8 weeks later after antibiotics I could walk again and function. But there was perm damage done to my joints because it went on so long

I had it back in 1991. Fortunately I had the classic bullseye rash and had a class about it 2 years before at Ft. Monmouth so I knew what it probably was. I was quite popular at the clinic. They brought all the med students in to look at it. They literally treated me out of a book, and doubled the recommended dosage and length.

I never had any rash I knew of. But whenever I get a deer tick bite that I know of, I take a one day dose of antibiotics. That shit fucked me up made me have delusions and hallucinations and everything. At the end I couldn’t even walk or even sit in my truck. Couldn’t sleep and any weight on my ribs even coughing hurt like hell

My uncle had Lyme disease about 10 years ago. First sign was he collapsed at the grocery store. At first they thought it was heart failure. Took about 6 months to get a diagnosis too. Scary shit mane.

i don't even think the treatment does anything after you're infected

once you have lymes disease; you'll always test positive for it just like the epstein-barr virus

Get yourself checked. Maybe lyme disease is what's making you retarded.

not really, some people in the past have made mistakes of not dosing doxy long enough(like 7 days, not enough) because they had it for so long. i had it for a long time. i knew it. so we did 21 days of high dose doxy. nuked my system. the thing with lyme is if u have it for years it gets into all parts of ur body, even the enamel in ur teeth. the myth it is forever is either from people who had it too long and never dosed enough doxy, or people who had it so long, did get rid of it, but had it so long they have permanent damage done to them.

a active lyme infection vs the post infection/damage it done is night and day. u will know somethin is srsly fucked if ur actively infected

Red dot at the bite site with a red ring around it. Not everyone gets the rash, but luckily I did. Just happened to notice it out of the corner of my eye in the bathroom mirror as I was walking in to take a shower.

Had a whole class on it at Ft. Monmouth and never saw a single tick there. Meanwhile at Ft. Chaffee it was never mentioned but I had multiple ticks on me every day I was in the field.
