What does misc think about eric clapton?

He was my dads favorite growing up so he used to play him around the house.

I liked him a lot when i was younger but the older i got i found him to be very overrated.

Whats your thoughts on eric Clapton?

-germ theory is 100% fake
-raw meat , raw eggs , raw butter, raw milk everyday crew
-no alcohol crew

great guitarist.

very hard to quantify good vs. bad guitarist. alotta guitarists are GREAT but unless you hear their entire body of work, they seem just OK. I play and ask "does the guitarist fit the song?" and a great example of this is the guitarist for Journey, his playing is so seminal to the song you can't separate them also very musical (you could say many guitarist DONT add to the song but just play to show off their skillz...SAD!).

I was never a big fan of Clapton.

Out of all the blues based guitarists from England in the 60s (Paige, Richards, Lennon, etc) I thought he was the most derivative.

Most of his songs were either covers or blatant rip offs of little known musicians from the Mississippi delta region.

I admit that Goodfellas used "Layla" (cover) perfectly

My mom had an apartment in the same building his kid fell out of the window, the song "Tears in Heaven" is based off it.

He also has one of the coolest Ferrari's ever built.
