Summer cutting crew check in!

Down to 234. I had a couple weeks where I kind of stalled out, and I had to admit it was the drinking. So this last week I've been on the wagon and immediately saw my results start to increase. I have successfully cut before while drinking more than I should. But I had to do a crazy amount of steps every day to compensate. 29lbs to go๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

I stopped weighing myself, and I just go by side profile while looking in the mirror. Definitely steady progression for the past 6 weeks or so.

Looks like weather is in the 70s next week as well, so I can get back to biking 3-4x per week.

Gotcha. I actually have lost a lot of muscle since I stopped lifting heavy years ago so when I finish my cut, I think I'll try to use muscle memory to put it back on which shouldn't take too long. But I see the point of wanting to reestablish a good base before flipping your calories

Exactly, I lifted consistently for over a decade, a back injury made me take a break. My muscle memory has been working fantastic, I just don't want to jump the gun too early and sabotage myself. My endgame is to be a lean 200-205lbs like I was a few years ago.

I've been at 250 for more than a year. I need to get back on the wagon. I've already mogged EM and Johnvee, but I need to bury their fat asses.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I thought about going to the gym and trying to recoup the muscle first but at this point my life, Im prioritizing health and leanness over having big muscles. At 205, i should be around 13% body fat at 6'1. Thats plenty muscular.

I planned on cutting. I am six foot tall, weighed 196 when I decided to do two a days. I do weights at the gym in the morning and HIIT Insanity in the afternoon. Nga woke up this morning weighing 200 pounds. I have gained four pounds in three weeks. I have been eating around 2400 calories.

With that being said, watch ur tone around me.

I've lost a ton of weight and have done zero cardio, just walking. There's nothing wrong with doing cardio for weight loss however the only three things that are required are consistent caloric deficit, adequate protein and resistance training to preserve lean mass. All the other shit is just noise and science based horse shit that just confuses people but gives content creators something to talk about

i think after a while - after you have lost the "easy to lose" chub, you have to move to more advance techniques brah

i think your diet has to be on point (less forgiving) without cardio, and you have to know what you are doing with lifting. and not fk around wasting time between sets etc. got to keep the heart pumping and stress the muscles for the EPOC

but keep at it brah, must be feeling better. 230+ is still pretty juicy, similar to our fellow miscer John Vee boyo

It's your total calorie expenditure minus calories. Period. The leanest physique athletes only walk for cardio, and in fact, intense cardio can cannibalize muscle when you're very lean. Everything else is just noise. People overcomplicate things because they wanna seem like there's some special knowledge and fat people wanna think there's a special thing you need to learn to lose weight because the simplest explanation that they eat too much robs them of an excuse
