Anybody else cringe at grown men making social media posts like

Like the ones where they add some dramatic music then stare at the camera and theres a text rant about some obvious social problem about capitalism or whatever.
Then they follow up with complaining about haters in the comments trying to further milk sympathy from 40 year old soccer moms on facebook.

Everytime i see that shit im like wtf are you doing.

I can’t do social media.

Misc is enough for me. I find all of it cringe and fake. I think participating in it to any degree facilitates the development of psychological traits that are unhealthy and counter productive to my goals.

It facilitates narcissism and main character syndrome. In some ways, I’m thankful for social media revealing who the pieces of chit in society are.

Because it clicked for me.

I was doing some thinking in retrospect. Bout my sobriety and the lonely chapter i had & the changes that came with it, because i need to explain some when i meet some folks next weekend.
So what changed exactly and how. And what happened was that my illusion of myself got weaker. That illusion had all the problems. Nothing changed except time went on.
The identity didnt get reminders of itself anymore that reinforce it.
Emotions i had went away they didnt matter. Beliefs i had they didnt matter neither.
Actions mattered though. But all jumbo gumbo inside my head. That was just bollocks.

From an objective universal perspective, there is this idea that it is just a neutral tool we can use to help us accomplish any worldly goals we may have. I can appreciate that idea. But I just don’t see it. I see the same thing you just explained. Not for me.
