Look at this Buick Lucerne creampuff
I want to buy a different car for a daily driver. My old Avalon is running well, but it has that VVT clacking noise those engines have, plus I hit a deer with it and kind of messed up the front end.
I like this basic Buick Lucerne.

That is a beaut, I do like the comfort that the mid-2000s Buick sedans offer.
The new entry-level Buicks seem pretty underrated and affordable but they don't make sedans anymore.
I had a Buick Regal growing up and it was a lot harder to work on than our Volvo 850 though.

Since that Lexus I wanted turned out to be a scam, and a real one would be a money pit anyway, imma go look at this Buick in the morning.
I found out the battery and fuse box are under the back seat for some reason and the fuel pump relay gets hit by the seat bracket and shorts out, but it seems to be an easy fix.

probably more reliable than anything new...is it 3.8l v6?
grandpaw liked buicks...had a 87ish lasabre then a 2000 century. kept them really nice mostly driving to church/grocery store. i remember when he got the century...it was new but a demo or something...think it was around $10-11k...he paid cash.
kinda funny how gm used to have so many of the same cars under different brand names. i remember people still having preferences for "their" brands though. my cousin's husband liked pontiac so she bought a new 2001ish grand am which was a total piece of crap...luckily pontiac went away so he couldn't force her in them anymore lol

So I drove all the way down to test drive it and looked brand new with nice leather seats. It was all clean and shiny and a beautiful metallic gray color, and the V6 engine was smooth and powerful, and the radio sounded like the speakers were tin cans and the lumbar control on the drivers seat didnt work, making it very uncomfortable to sit in, and the passenger side power mirror didnt move at all and then the dealer plate fell off somewhere in the road when i was test driving it. The salesman had to go back out and look for it.
My old Avalon is much better quality, despite the annoying engine tapping. I guess I'll stick with it for awhile longer.
