Not true brah.

There are millions of cars driving on the road at any given moment in the United States. The number of helicopters flying daily are in the low hundreds. If you measure by hours flown, helicopters are 12x more deadly than driving.

Cars: 0.05 fatalities per 100k hours
Helicopters: 0.6 fatalities per 100k hours

Of course, the fear of flying is generally an irrational one and if you were talking about highly regulated commercial airplanes, I’d absolutely agree with you. If I’m not mistaken you were a helicopter pilot so i understand where you’re coming from, but the truth is helicopters are the only form of transportation besides motorcycles that actually are statistically more dangerous than driving a car.
