Yeah, I pretty much only go to places I'm a regular at, so I'm tipping 20-30%.

If it's just a one off place that I'll never visit again, I might tip 15% for average service.

Usually 20% because most are good but if it's just below average or an unfriendly blank slate server I drop it to 10%. They'll never improve if they don't face consequences.

If it's a young HBB waitress I get her privately after I left the table and offer to give her another tip later on. Most times it doesn't work but sometimes it does.

When i do go out it's usually 4+ people and most places charge that service/automatic grad for larger parties. so i never tip above what they add which is usually 15%.

I don’t really go out too often, so it isn’t like a huge amount or anything.

I don’t mind dropping one to two hundo on a meal at a nice restaurant. I don’t really find most places being that expensive though, so most of the time it is anywhere between like 75 and 120 if I am only paying for me.

I actually tip myself for letting them serve me. I'll deduct 10% from the bill, sometimes 15% if I was particularly charming or funny

Not really anymore.

I mostly get bad to avg service everywhere ever since Covid. The turnover for waitresses at the restaurants is so high, I’m not really worried about being known a bad tipper, and I don’t think I’ll be rewarded for being a good tipper.

Also ever since you tip with CC now and all the tips are shared accross the restaurant staff, the server doesn’t even really look to see what I tipped.

I mostly tip approx 15%, a lot of places try to include a 5% “staff wellness and healthcare fee” (that started at 1-2% btw) and that pissed me off so I deduct that from the tip. So
