Personal Trainer, 39, Missing for 5 Days Was Last Seen Walking Towards Wooded Area: 'Very Out of Character'

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS/Gray News) - Authorities are looking for a woman who went missing after leaving Planet Fitness on Thursday.

According to the Lexington Police Department, 39-year-old Elena Katherine Moore was reported missing Friday. She was last seen leaving Planet Fitness at 560 Whiteford Way in Lexington, South Carolina, on Thursday.

Investigators said she signed in at Planet Fitness at 6:40 p.m. and was later seen walking away from the gym toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe's store.

Moore is described as 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an olive green zip-up hoodie and black athletic pants.

Possible, but it doesn't sound like the footage shows anybody following her in there. She could have also fallen victim to a landowner there, we had a case in the mid 1980's on Crimewatch UK of a woman who visited her friend & walked back the couple or so miles home, but after leaving & being seen by witnesses she went missing. Turned out a farmer had murdered her & possibly another woman that had gone missing two years earlier in the same area, but her body has never been found.
