Rapper Mystikal, real name Michael Tyler, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a woman in 2022 at his Louisiana home.

The victim, who was in court on Tuesday, requested that the judge give the maximum sentence, according to WBRZ. Addressing the court, she said that Tyler had punched her, puller braids out of her hair, and forcibly raped her.

Following the victim’s address, Tyler told those in the courtroom, “If I did that to you, I deserve the max sentence.” The rapper was then sentenced to 20 years for third-degree rape.

In 2022, Tyler was arrested and later charged with first-degree rape, simple robbery, domestic-abuse battery, and false imprisonment. At the time, he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was scheduled to begin trial in March. However, before the trial, he entered a plea agreement, pleading guilty to lesser third-degree rape charges, a result of a deal that reduced the rapper’s potential sentence (the initial first-degree rape charge would have carried an automatic life sentence).

The guy is clearly an idiot but this one seems kind of flimsy. Unless they physically made her suck them off - which I'm not saying they didn't, but it sounds like there was just an agreement in place - there should be no charge there.

What it sounds like happened, is the sloot stole money from him, he found out and demanded blowjobs or he would go to the police. She agreed, then after the fact cried rape. But that's not rape. She committed the crime, and she chose to perform the blowjobs in exchange for the victim not going to police. She could have not agreed and thus chosen to face the consequences.

All he had to do was not rape. Seems like it’s pretty easy to not do that.

Yeah they tried to spin it that way but one of them recorded it. The judge watched the video and said it wasn’t remotely consensual and that she was “terrorized.”

That technically doesn’t rule out her having agreed to something initially. But if the video really was that bad, they goofed and took the punishment so far that it ended up being rape anyway.

Aight I don't feel bad for him then. Never know if the judge was some feminist queer but given the ambiguity plus his pattern/propensity for rape then he probably did it.
