Did Walter White make the right choice by letting Jane OD to death in Breaking Bad??????

Seems like the right choice business wise. She's a junkie that's bleeding Jessie dry and is a bad influence.

Do you think it's possible she could have changed if she survived the OD??

From what I remember that arc seems to be one of the most pivotal moments in breaking bad.

My wife stopped watching when that happened, not because the show was bad, but because that scene was so powerful. I wouldn't have made that choice but it was the right choice for self preservation.

Do you mean he was supposed to die in season 2? Doesn't make sense that viewers would want him to live if season 1 hadn't even been released yet.

Or was it like Saul/Mike where the director/writers only had them slated for an episode but instantly knew the character had potential.

Gus brought Gale on to replace Walt once he learned Walt's meth recipe. Gus (correctly) believed Walt would be a huge liability for him and wanted to kill him.

Walter liked Jesse because he was easy for him to control and manipulate. Walter was an egomaniac who fxcked up everyone around him. In a perfect world his plan to kill Gale would have failed and Gus would have off'd him and continue to run things like a professional with Gale being his cook. Gus got greedy though he saw Walter's product as the ultimate tool to get his revenge and topple the cartel.
