I would have to understand what she’s selling before I can comment.

Sometimes a sales cycle can be over a year.

Regardless pretty unprofessional to film this.

This is an old video. I've seen it before. She gave great reasons for why them firing her was BS. But that doesn't matter, they cut people for any and all reasons. Don't ever be loyal to a company that you don't own part of.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I don’t think you guys understand how high level sales works lol

6 months isn’t a lot of time in many instances to close anything. It once took me 18 months to close a deal.

3 months isn't that long and sometimes isn't long enough for proper onboarding and training.

Ideally you want to cast a wide net and have a bunch of potential deals in your pipeline. Only a fraction of them will ever workout. In my industry if we can get 10 new clients a year thats pretty solid because you have to remember it’s not just the initial sale it’s the recurring revenue from each one. So while 10 seems small it’s really 100 years of revenue if the average client sticks with us for 10 years. I assume it’s similar for SaaS which it seems like this chick was doing.

But at any given time you’ll be juggling many prospects with unique needs and different backgrounds all at once.

I can only speak to my industry but you have to jump through many hoops, investment analysts, investment committees, due diligence where they meet our team and visit the office.

I would assume her industry would be similar and probably worse if she’s selling to companies with a board and stuff.

If it were up to me I’d close deals in a few weeks but it just doesn’t work that way. When the stakes are high and a lot of money is involved people move slow and there is fuck all I can do to speed up that process. If I could I would be a lot richer than I am lol

Now after a year or so the expectation would change because ideally you’d have built enough relationships where things are always closing. But 6 months especially if building a new territory from scratch is early early days.

Lol, this video is only 2 years old, but feels like we have entered a different era since then. Mid females in 2026 don't have this type of confidence anymore.

This.

I used to have deals that were years out. Criticism without more context here is retarded.

I have a deal I'm currently working on that started in April 2025 and isn't scheduled to close until May of 2027. And I'm starting another deal right now that will not close for about 18 months.

This girl just had no business being hired though, as did most girls in sales. She's being laid off because way too many people were hired 21-23, and the company forecast much lower revenue after interest rates rose.
