AI is telling companies to hold ranks with high prices
Fuel and housing industries have been specifically identified in using this type of AI. Competitors input information and follow prompts. It is telling all of them to maintain high prices and they will all make more. No one should decrease prices to be more competitive. It is a legal form of collective price gouging that takes place across entire industries without a meeting, without a phone call, without an email etc.

Work at a stealership where their car count sales is so low right now, yet customers are showing up, but also noticed that they won't budge off MSRP. Putting fees and add ons people don't want and wondering why the rate of people walking away is record high.

It is an unsustainable monster.
Then they got inventory but the owners and managers are seeing the profit margin shrink and to them, that margin is so important that they would rather sell less gross and have less profit but a better percentage per vehicle to make their numbers look good. We seriously need to go to direct buy like TESLA and bypass the sales department.
