Advice on demotivation

Read obituaries

Especially for wealthy areas

Plenty of multimillionaires

A significant number of them dead in their 50's and 60's

Lots of the times the cause isn't mentioned

But says something like "lost his brave battle with depression"

Or asks for donations to be sent to some mental health organization

Those are euphemisms that the person offed himself

Makes you realize success and wealth aren't all what they're hyped up to be and doesn't make people happy

So you don't turn into one of those people who chases after success and wealth as if they're the path to fulfillment

uncle has a friend with many millions...like 15-20m. depression so bad he went to get help and accidentally made an off the cuff remark to the nurse...something like he'd just assume put a bullet in his head than deal with wife/life stuff. they involuntarily checked him into the "loony bin" for a few weeks for being suicidal. it was quite a shock and embarrassing to him and his family to all of a sudden have him put away like that.

I'm from Nashville, originally, and sometimes read about rich and famous country music stars who roped like that.

Naomi Judd and Tom T. Hall come to mind.

I went to school and played on the same soccer team as Hank Williams III and he has become a recluse in recent years and people say he is depressed.

i've heard many of these people at some point realize more than regular folks that nobody really cares for them unless they can get their money or be in the glow of their fame. probably becomes extremely isolating because who can you trust to even talk to let alone anything else?

What's more depressing are father's who did everything they could for their wife and kids and the wife and kids don't even like him or respect him.

that's just hypergamy...comes with the territory of having a woman (you just hope she can control it).
