The new bootstrap to the American Dream: Deep-Cleaning cars

I think this is what @theory816 was doing and having some success with it.

I saw 2 zoomers (they had the broccoli hair and the chains) cleaning my neighbor's car in the hot sun the other week.

They were out there for like 2 hours and I checked their website out of curiosity and the price was $100.

Imagine being out in the hot sun for $25 an hour each. Those zoomers had good work ethic but zero business sense.
Balding is death. If you have no hair, you have no life.

Gotta start somewhere and build a clientele.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Tiktok made these young kids think its easy.

They watch a POV : watch me detail this car in 1 hour and make an easy $150.

Theres a huge oversaturation of mobile retailers now. And you need to have a rep and return clinetele so people normallynjust google the best in your area and get the guys eatablished already.

And like i said before, i dont care what anyone says inhaling all these chemicals day in and day out isnt good for you.

I think a lot of y'all are missing a big point.

STEM maybe tops out at $140k in most cities. That's after 15 years. The average person isn't STEM. The average person, with some effort, probably tops $100k. And that's being nice.

$100k for a family of 5 is just making ends meet. If you want $200k+ salary, a desk 8 to 5 job isn't going to cut it. You'll never get there.

A desk job isnt rewarded for efficiency.

Getting paid by the job will ALWAYS beat out hourly pay.

when i detail my vehicle it takes me like 2 days to wash, clay bar, buff any scratches, wash again, dry off with leaf blower, wax and then clean the interior/inside part of windows/shine tires. kinda exhausting job.

The biggest problem with a business model like car detailing, landscaping, and many other fields is due to a low skill no credential skill set and low cost entry level you are competing against everybody and their brother.

You can not run a business on that. Not legit anyways. It's a lot of work for what it pays and most people who do it are complete trash.

Maybe if you are really good and get wealthier clients but it's not going to be easy competing against everyone.

Maybe you detail their car and slip an eighball in their glove box as part of the package you might be able to make some money.

legit.

i also think there is such a niche market that it is hard to penetrate already...and I suspect almost no differentiation in service. maybe wearing a bikini and being hot might help tbh but other than that i dunno.

I mean cleaning a car sucks but it isn't any miracle. plus its gonna get immediately dirty again. Its somewhat of a scam business but hey people are lazy so theres that.
