There is no evidence to support either way. All I can say is, I hope there is a God up there that hears prayers and offers protection from negative forces. And that real justice is actually served in the afterlife. Not in the "you better believe in me, or else" manmade religious sense, but actually being punished or rewarded based on the things you did on Earth.
