Is buying a new 50-60k ever 3 years one of the best investments a man can make?

Assuming he's into experiencing different vehicles every few years. When you factor in improved safety, usually fuel economy, performance, no repairs -- the net cost is maybe $400/month if you can borrow money at a decent rate.

$400/month for enjoyment that's purely focused on yourself has got to be worth sacrificing an extra million in retirement right?

btw -- I say $50-60k because that's sorta the sweet spot where you can get most of what the automotive market has to offer for the best value.

that's the net cost after considering the $200 convience fee of not many repairs/all maintenance under warranty, better safety, better performance, usually better fuel economy, pleasure

I've known a few leasecels over the years. Depends a lot on your lifestyle and what you're looking for from a vehicle. I'm actually not 100% against it.

No its dumb. A new car is barely broken in at 3 years, why do you need another new car. Even if you bought 2 years old, thats still only 5 years old.


Its best to invest that money.

if someone is on pace to retire comfortably that amount of money shouldn't be a big deal unless their goal is to simply have as much as possible at like 70.

Im the type of guy who would be happy with a $20k C5 corvette. I dont need a new car every 3 years, for what? Cars aren't even that good to be trading every 3 years.

We are subtracting money from the payment for better fuel, no repairs, better safety, better performance, etc. that's how we get to a true cost of $400/month. driving a 10 year old car until it's 25 years old usually isn't free considering you might spend money on fixing major things along those 15 years

If you can get a tax advantage from leasing, sure. Buying and paying interest on a loan for a depreciating asset is dumb as fuck. Lease as a business owner or pay cash outright.
