WHAT A JOKE(SOCCER RELATED)
https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2026/07/08/usmnts-12-8-world-cup-payout-will-be-shared-with-womens-team-under-equal-pay-agreement/
The U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) will be sharing the 2026 World Cup payout with the women’s team as part of the equal pay collective bargaining agreement
U.S. Soccer keeps 20 percent of the prize money. The remaining 80 percent is split evenly between the men’s and women’s player pools, meaning each team is set to receive $6.4 million from the USMNT’s run. Based on 26-player rosters, that comes out to roughly $246,153 per player.
The arrangement exists because of the equal-pay fight led by U.S. women.
FIFA's most recent projection anticipates the men's tournament will bring in between $9 and $13 billion.
The FIFA Women's World Cup generated over $570 million in revenue during its most recent edition. This milestone allowed the tournament to break even for the first time in history.

It's soccer, what do you expect?
Nobody US born really cares and all the hype is the media and Google promoting it.

As far as kid's soccer played by adults, it's been hyped because the media has been making a big stink about it. No doubt, most of those were not born in the US or are 1st generation born.

Congrats to them for negotiating themselves a decent payday. They must have read Art of the Deal.
I also learned there is a basketball world cup. Who knew.

The women are far more successful than the men on the world stage. They've won the women's world cup four times and won five gold medals at the Olympics, including three in a row.
Just too bad nobody watches women's soccer.

That's what I learned from playing soccer anyways. You win some you lose some.

You didnt answer my question.
I would vote for equal pay for all players with reasoning that this isn't professional sports. None of the players are likely being paid market value. The privilege to play for Team USA includes a flat rate payment for all members of the team.
Professional sports would be entirely market and profit driven. Get fucked if you don't like your pay.
I'm assuming a few things. I don't know much about World Cup soccer.
