Thinking I was right about anything. Needing to be right. Pretending there is a right.

PS: Don't eat poop, just don't let the idea of it stop you from living life to its fullest.

Pursued a career doing meaningless office work knowing it would bring me no joy, honor or fulfillment.
Not sure what else I could’ve realistically done to earn a comfortable living, but had I surrounded myself with more ambitious people in my teens and early 20s, it would’ve been beneficial. Instead I hung around burnouts and people with no goals in life. My family was always poor as well, so I never had an example of success in my circle.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of what I have accomplished in terms of elevating above the socioeconomic class I was born into, but I also can’t exactly go around my old neighborhood bragging about being a “systems analyst” (whatever the fuck that means) for some no name corporation.
I actually shared my promotion with the misc before almost anyone else srs. I haven’t even told my dad yet because as a man who worked in factories, landscaping and public works his entire life, he wouldn’t get it. To him, white collar work is for pussies. I’m literally the only man in my entire family who works in an office (ded fkin srs). Everyone else is a tradie. Sometimes I’m ashamed of it, even if I shouldn’t be.

Listened to my buddy when I was 16 about the driving test. He said "don't turn around when you back up, look through the rear view mirror"...so I did. Then I hit the curb parallel parking and I failed.
