Forgive me if this was already discussed in another video, but given your profession I’m curious, what is your opinion on the current state of teaching in America?

I know there are a ton of young teachers quitting after only a few years in. At least I’ve met some recently and they claim this is a growing trend. Part of it seems to be student conduct. My local urban district has been a disaster for decades. The suburban districts are better academically but the state mandates a lot of woke BS and kids are still disrespectful. I also know personally a few people who I wouldn’t trust to watch my dog that have been hired to teach young impressionable students. Like one girl who hangs the trans flag and posters of Ruth Bader Ginsberg in her middle school classroom and posts about it on IG. One of my old HS teachers got arrested for kiddie pr0n a couple years ago too srs.

Feels like there’s a lot of questionable shit going on and much of it starting only in the last 10 years or so. I’d be reluctant to enroll my kids in public schools (if I had any lol).
