Biological/Psychological Description of Mate Selection
Women have limited eggs. They cannot reproduce after they run out. They cannot reproduce while they are pregnant. There are significant periods of time during their life they cannot reproduce.
Men make sperm. While the “quality” goes down with age, they do keep producing it. They have no pause in their ability to continue reproducing.
We subconsciously know this. Our instincts guide us to ensure our behavior aligns with the mechanical limitations of the avatar.
Women are more selective. Quality, over quantity. They do not want to waste their limited resource. Men reproduce as much as they can. The more they fuck, the more likely of producing a quality offspring. Quantity over quality. In nature, this has resulted in the male of the species developing very elaborate and beautiful traits, like peacocks. The males are always puffing their chests (literally), shiny and bright, trying to hold their head up the highest, be the loudest, displaying they can produce strong offspring. The females make the choice.
Women love to see this response in men. When they start acting stupid in front of their friends just because she batted her eyes at him. It tells her she has control of his central nervous system. That is what she wants. That makes her feel good, and she expresses that. She says “good boy”, and selects him. He thinks she is attracted to him. She is not. She is attracted to emotion control she has over him. She will use his sex drive, and her body to manipulate and use him. He tolerates it because he doesn’t have the emotional capacity to understand it has been an elaborate ruse.
I know the interaction feels like love. I know that movies and songs tell us we need to pursue it with all of our being. I know it feels like we are not whole if we do not participate in this activity. I promise, enduring the discomfort of being alone can do absolute wonders for your development.
