If you're looking forward to retirement that means you're wasting your life
You're spending most of your time doing something you don't really want to do
And you're doing it during the prime years of your life
Hoping that you can stop doing it when you're older and well past your prime
But you can't get those prime years back nor can you "make up" for them when you're older
It's a longer version of looking forward to the weekend
Because during the weekend you get a couple days of being away from something you don't want to do before having to return to do it all over again
Retirement is your respite that you won't ever have to do it again
You should instead be building a lifestyle you don't want to retire from
Not doing something for decades you don't want to do so you can eventually stop doing it

If you love your job you're lying to yourself, but I definitely don't look forward to retirement. I will be old and miserable

Some good points. Time is the one thing we can't get back or more of.
